※Information on patents and patent applications reflects their status as at January 2026. This status may change due to factors such as invalidation requests by third parties or the progress of rights-acquisition procedures.
※Warm food must be cool enough to hold (approx. 50°C or below).

Automatic Ice Maker
Automatic Ice Maker The direct water-supply system keeps ice clean and helps prevent impurities from accumulating. Its automatic cleaning function eliminates the need to clean the pump or pipes.
Quick Ice Making
Ice Maker Cleaning
Use before first use or after one week. Rinses the ice tray and water path.
Mineral water may be used.※2
〈For hygienic use〉 We recommend using chlorinated tap water that is safe to drink. Rinse the water tank and water filter at least once a week. Mineral water, cooled boiled water and quality-compliant well water contain no chlorine and may cause scale or mould more readily than tap water, so clean the system more frequently. Failure to do so may result in scale or mould.
※The ice tray cannot be removed. Use the Automatic Ice Maker Cleaning function to rinse the
tray and water path.
※1 Ice-making time was measured at an ambient temperature of approx. 30°C with no door
opening or closing (one cycle/12 cubes). Performance varies with the frequency of door opening and the ambient
temperature. Using Quick Ice Making once a day (approx. seven hours) increases power consumption by approx. 30%
compared with normal operation. After seven hours, the refrigerator automatically returns to normal ice making.
Based on in-house testing.
※2 Use water with a hardness of 100 mg/L or less. When mineral water is used, white particles may appear in
the ice. These are precipitated minerals and are safe for consumption.
※The above claims do not extend the best-before or use-by date, nor do they guarantee the labelled storage period.
*1 Tested model: R-GWC670TC (equivalent performance to R-GW670TV). Comparison between the top case of the Lower Freezer Compartment (Delicious Freezing mode) and the middle case of the Lower Freezer Compartment (Regular Freezing mode). Room temperature set at approx. 20°C with no door opening or closing. The time required for food to pass through the maximum ice crystal formation zone (-1°C to -5°C) was measured. Test food: lamb (wrapped). Top case: approx. 89 min; middle case: approx. 182 min.
*2 Tested model: R-GWC670TC (equivalent performance to R-GW670TV). Comparison between the top case of the Lower Freezer Compartment (Delicious Freezing mode) and the middle case of the Lower Freezer Compartment (Regular Freezing mode). Room temperature set at approx. 20°C with no door opening or closing. Vacuum-packed boiled broccoli was stored for 10 days before comparison.
