Designer, UX Design Department, Design Center (Digital Innovation R&D), Hitachi, Ltd. After working for a consumer electronics manufacturer, he joined Hitachi in 2019 and now designs home appliance ranges.
The GW Refrigerator was designed in response to changes in modern living environments and lifestyles.
Despite its large capacity, the GW is only 65.4 cm deep. It aligns neatly with standard kitchen cabinetry and blends harmoniously into the interior.
Its interior is easy to see into, making food management more convenient. Symmetrical split doors and concealed upper hinges create a clean, refined appearance.
The Mirror Mauve Grey finish and wood-textured handles add a sophisticated presence.
These thoughtful details have been recognised with the Good Design Award.
